An annual service here does two jobs: it keeps the manufacturer's parts warranty valid (every maker requires a logged yearly service), and it catches faults in September that would otherwise be breakdowns in January.
The old town takes real servicing. Georgian and Victorian buildings around the High Street and Lichfield Street run long pipe drops and boilers tucked into cellar heads and landing cupboards — so we check circulation and flow temperatures as well as the boiler itself, because that's where these houses fail first. Walton and the Meaford Road side are mostly combis from the last twenty years, where the service pays for itself twice over: their pressure-loss habit shows up early on the gauge history, and the ones still in warranty stay in warranty. Out in Yarnfield, Barlaston and the villages we usually group services on the same day's run, which is why the price never changes for being rural.
The visit takes about forty-five minutes at one fixed price including VAT, with nothing added on the day. Book it when it suits — around work, around school, a Saturday. If we find anything, you get a fixed repair price to say yes or no to; nothing gets fixed without your say-so.

A flue-gas analyser reading — proof the boiler is burning cleanly and safely, kept on your record year to year.
- Gas pressure, checked
Working pressure at the boiler, checked against the maker’s figures — the invisible half of the service, and the half that matters most in older High Street properties.
- Flue & condensate run
We inspect the flue and trace the condensate pipe — the cause of most of the gurgling, banging cold-snap calls we take in Stone.
- Pressure & seals
Expansion-vessel charge, seals and visible pipework checked for weeps — Walton's weekly-top-up combis get caught at this step, before winter does it for them.

No. Stone's older High Street and Lichfield Street houses hide boilers in cellar heads, landing cupboards and converted outbuildings, and we service them all for the same fixed price. Awkward access just means we bring the right lamp.
Will the service keep my manufacturer warranty valid?
Yes — that's half the point. Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi and the other makers all require a logged annual service to keep the parts warranty alive. Plenty of Walton's combis are still inside 7–10 year warranties; the fixed-price service is what protects them.
What if the service finds a fault?
You get a fixed repair price on the spot, parts included, and nothing happens without your yes. Fix it there and then, book it for later, or leave it — there's no pressure and no second callout fee if we do it during the same visit.
